How do I add Site Search? (Google?)

Two methods of adding search to your website

Method one:

http://www.google.com/coop/cse/

Include one website, multiple websites, or specific webpages
Host the search box and results on your own website
Customize the colors and branding to match your existing webpages

Method two:

Robots Meta Tag/ robots.txt file

I use this in case I have a "secret page" on the internet, which I don't want indexed.

Not all spider's follow a meta command, but may follow a robots.txt file.

In that file, it would look something like:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /privatedirectory/
Disallow: /directory/largepage.htm

User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /privatedirectory/
Disallow: /directory/largepage.htm

I don't think this is a huge SEO trick. I think it's an anti SEO trick. You can of course tell it for sure to index:

Upon running HTML code validator at http://validator.w3.org./, the report indicated a lot of errors but they are JavaScript code and not HTML errors, is there a way to have the validator skip the JavaScript code segments? Is there a way other than offloading code into separate files.
